Mountain Ostraya, located near the Sosnovka village, reaches a height of 1233 m. Tourists come here all year round. In summer they come to climb to the top and admire the surroundings, in winter to go skiing and snowboarding. Ski resorts here are ready to receive guests, starting in November and ending in July. The slope of the descent is 45 degrees, while the width of the route is quite large.

The easiest way to get to Ostroya Mountain is from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, during the day you can climb to the top, admire the magnificent landscapes and return. On the way to the top tourists can enjoy the views of the nearby Vilyuchinsky volcano and the valley of  Paratunka River, which flows between the hills covered with various vegetation, gradually open up. The closer to the top you are, the wider the panorama is: in the distance, you can distinguish Gorely volcano, the outlines of the Avachinsko-Koryak volcano group, and Avacha Bay. During the clear weather, you can admire the view of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Elizovo.
